What Playrivo stores

The Playrivo database holds one account row per connected Steam account, plus a cached copy of the most recent recommendations. Specifically:

• Your SteamID — the public numeric identifier of your Steam account.
• Your Steam display name and avatar URL, as returned by Steam.
• Login timestamps: when the account row was created and when you last logged in.
• Your most recent computed recommendations (a cache, so picks don't have to be recomputed on every visit).
• Your “AI recommendations” on/off preference from Settings.
• Nothing else. Your library itself — games, playtime, achievements — is fetched live from Steam on each request and is NOT stored in our database.
• Steam charts snapshots are global: aggregate public player counts, not personal data and not linked to you.

Steam login

Signing in works through Steam OpenID: the login form appears on steamcommunity.com, not on Playrivo. Playrivo never receives, sees or stores your Steam password or any other Steam credential — it only receives the public SteamID of the account you logged in with, confirmed by Steam.

Where data leaves the system

When a recommendation set is generated and the “AI recommendations” preference is on, a minimized subset of your library data — game app IDs, names, genres and playtime in minutes — is sent over HTTPS to a third-party AI provider (OpenRouter). No personal identifiers (name, avatar, SteamID, email) are included. If you turn AI recommendations off in Settings, recommendations come purely from the deterministic engine and nothing is sent to any AI provider. The game data shown to you (prices, reviews, achievements, charts) is fetched from Steam's public APIs; your library data is not persisted, so none of it is stored on our side.

Cookies

Playrivo sets two cookies: a login-session cookie (HttpOnly, signed, so you stay signed in) and a language-preference cookie storing which of the five interface languages you chose. No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You have the right of access and the right to erasure (RODO/GDPR), and both are self-service in Settings → Data & privacy: “Download my data” exports every row stored about your account as JSON, and “Delete my data” erases them immediately. No email is needed — your signed-in Steam session is the proof of identity.

Retention

Data is kept while the account exists, i.e. while your Steam login remains connected. When you request deletion, your account row and cached recommendations are deleted immediately. If you log in again afterwards, a new account row is created from your Steam profile — the previous data is not restored.
